Where We Are Now,
Where We May Be Headed,
and What that Means
for You

Regardless of the current regulatory environment, most industry experts agree that the standards for certain per- and polyfluorinated alkyl substances (PFAS) are likely to become more stringent, prevalent, and confusing. A few states, notably, Texas, California, New York, and New Jersey, continue to lead the pack while the federal government has also issued its own guidance. With businesses operating across state lines, and investors looking to capitalize on widespread opportunities and low interest rates, navigating the complex sea of standards and understanding the associated obligations is becoming increasingly difficult for in house environmental professionals and savvy real estate moguls alike.

Join Apex for a look through our crystal ball at a few state “superlatives," a federal regulatory update, and some of the ways we are approaching site investigation and remediation in states both with and without existing regs and/or screening criteria. We will share our advice on what you can and should do now to ease your future or current compliance burden, and where the regs are likely to head in the future.
